Plot and world is very interesting

Despite the above, the dryness of the words and the narrator leached the enjoyment of the book

I Really Enjoyed This!

The plot was Really interesting, very original in an omegaverse. The book has a bit of pulp detective fiction. I f you’re looking for a gritty omega fiction you will get completely sucked into AND have 22 + hours to invest. Totally worth the credit!

Good till to Awkwardly artificial.

Mimicking rhetorical patterns of focus started to seem like manifestations of the pieces each man held, but it became awkward in later screens as if it were not

The influx of dry descriptions of sex scenes were medical text book like

The first part of the book was great and I was loving the story. Only Knox was overly technical with his description of things but by the end the they all seemed to talk/think in the technical jargon (very technical description of bodily functions like a medical text book)

Here is an example “When finally spent, he shifts to a side position, maintaining partial connection while eliminating risk of respiratory compression or uncomfortable weight distri-bution.”
So many sexier ways to say this and put a visual in my head of my lover pulling out after ravishing me to cuddle next to me and not squish me by collapsing on me. Instead I was
Left with my head trying fit the big words in the fantasy that the book was building .

It was just not sexy and hard to get through, I kept finding reasons to turn off the book and read FB or watch tik tok

I loved the first book and hope book tree is better🤞🤞🤞🤞 I am sticking with Cinder loving this world she built.

1.3 × went to 2.7 x just to see if the ending got better. That was the longest epilogue I’ve read to date.

It's like technical manuals talking at each other, for 15 hours 🙄

The plot is there, and there is a great storyline, but the NONSTOP overly technical language was honestly obnoxious. I get that Knox is a genius and that supposed to be his "quirk", but it's almost like everyone else started to subconsciously mirror him and do it as well and it got the the point I was strongly considering DNF'ing with less than an hr left 😭 It's my own fault, I loved the 1st book and have (mistakenly) come to semi expect that books in a series will somewhat have the same vibe but authors seem to be moving away from that these days (I'm looking at you Lindsay Straube! 😑) 🙃
