This book is a comprehensive guide for new day traders. Day trading has been described as a way of life; implying that the day trader must be completely absorbed in the activity, to the exclusion of everything else in life. That is not true. Successful day traders can work only a few days a week or only a few hours a day. Day traders are interested in all forms of investment; stocks, foreign currency exchange, exchange-traded funds and more. Profits can be made by well-informed and savvy traders in every one of these areas.

In this book, we will generally refer to trading in stocks, implying equities. This is only for simplicity for the listeners. Almost everywhere, the information applies equally to all the other financial instruments as well. In terms of vocabulary, in this book, we use the short phrase "go long" for issuing buy orders and "go short" for issuing sell orders. Be aware that like with any other trading, you can sell instruments you don't own, by using a margin trading account.

Nice Tips

Very helpful tips and strategies on how to try to make money buying and selling online. It gave me a good start on how to manage online exchanges and how to research companies.

Excellent Author

This author has a knack for explaining complex topics in easy-to-understand language. This was the first, day trading book I've ever read and it set out a sound foundation for my further studies in the day and swing trading. The author emphasizes the high risk of day trading and explains why certain moves are risky.

Basics Of Day Trading

This book includes all the basics of day trading. It is easy to understand, clearly explained, and a valuable tool for someone serious about learning the trade.

This is what i was looking for

This book is accurately what I was looking. I was not looking for a book on investing, that's what my $70k worth of Finance and Accounting degrees provided. I wanted a book that helped me understand the market and trading better, and this book did very well for me. In fact, it still does well for me.

Simple But Valuable

It's a simple book that deals with most aspects of Day Trading. However, as the title suggests, this book is strictly for beginners. The book does address a lot of what you need to know but not in any depth. I recommend this book to those who are thinking about day trading and don't know where to start.

First Experience But a good one

It was my first book to read on trading and it was easy to follow except for one chapter of Oscillators-I found that stochastics wasn't explained well and I had to do my research on Investopedia to understand oscillators well.

It Really Works

It works as advertised. It is a good guide but remembers to simulate trading every day at least two months to see if it works for you. Good product for the price.

I'm a newbie

Having no prior knowledge of what day trading involves, I found this book to be a good resource. My intent was not to become a day trader but to understand what is involved in the process, what to do, what not to do. This is a good resource book.

Excellent Book

Excellent book. Great for setting an Investment base to protecting your principal as well as adding value to it. The author puts an emphasis on discipline, which is essential to surviving in the investment world. I enjoyed it

Excellent book on concepts on how the day trading market works. This is not just for day traders. Easy to understand and follow for retail investors. Good reference tool for following the financial channels for understanding trader terms they are talking about. I refer to it often.
