Love the story! Perfect combo of dark and sweet. Perfect part the the dark protector series.

Loved it

This was the best book in this amazing series! So much heartbreak and separation Angel and David kept true to their hearts. I know it’s probably the most unrealistic thing but it spoke to my romantic wishful heart. I hope this isn’t the end of this series a I’m not read for the end. The Butcher!

So my last review I said that Nate was the best of the series. I have changed my mind David is the best of the series. I love “the Butcher” David and Angel. So many things against them it seemed. They they said star crossed lovers. I do think this one should have been first in the series but at the same time it gave me that Ahhh moment. Loved it

Love this series

Okay, I love to read/listen to full series. The learning about all the different characters and falling in love right along with them. I still have to say the first book about Conrad is still my favorite.💗

Loved it!

I loved listening to THE BUTCHER. Its sexy with great narration and alpha maleness all over the place! al.This one goes through some years of being together, being apart and then getting back together again. Very emotional. There's some violence, steamy sex, mafia, and a badass female (Angel) who I loved listening to. I love all of C. Aaron's books and I hope the next one is about Con. Can't wait to hear his story!

The best book in the series…

This was my favorite story in the series and now I wish Peter had a book, he deserves one don’t you think?

Anyway, listening to this book, I kept feeling it should have been the prequel OR book 1 until the end there where she connected it to book 2.

Apart from that, I LOVED this book! I loved that the book was named David AND we heard from David’s POV often. I loved that David was a “normal” guy for once… in that he wasn’t a billionaire or the boss of bosses… at times he didn’t know what to do (he was young and it made sense.) I loved that He seemed to have a true partnership with Angel… I mean the “butcher” is part of the story and we love it filthy… so as filthy and and anti heroes… he’s one of my favorites! I truly enjoyed this book (maybe more so because the first one sucked.

The FMC in this book was the best in this book, followed by the one in book two, Sabrina… the one in the first book was awful! I almost skipped this book because of the first one…(they can be read as standalone.)

The book is about David, grew up in a foster care… fought to stay with his brother in an abusive home. He meets Angel when he was 16 and she was 15 (perfect, no big age gap.)

They’re wrenched violently from their lives and 5 years later they find each other and he’s working for the mob boss and she’s a slave baby doll living with another creepy mob boss… the story gets on from theres… it’s gut wrenching… you feel bad for them and root for them… you may get misty eyed for them because it feels real, like no superhuman situation where the main character wins every single time 🙄

I really enjoyed this book and I’m half jealous of folks who are going to start reading it for the first time… worth a credit? YES!!!! It’s just so fresh! Especially for us who’ve been stuck in with MC’s, mafia etc. smut…
I’m heading to get a paper copy for my library ❤️

Read the series. Very good all 3 books. Nate is very funny. Conrad is sexy and hot and tough. David is the big guy with a bigger heart. 💗🔥
