Darya of Algaron

Long ago, the refugees escaping a ruined Earth created a democratic colony on an island of the water planet, Algaron. But now, the current authoritarian regime demands total, unquestioning allegiance from all citizens. Darya is a year away from choosing citizenship or being exiled, yet she’s already incurred the wrath of the Colony Administration. She doesn’t want to surrender control of her future but submits to the Administration’s demands that she undergoes a probationary re-education program. When her friends are arrested and executed for anti-government activity, she allies herself with a resistance group. But that puts her in the cross-hairs of the Administration. Exile or death are the only options – and exile is death.
