For fans of ghost-hunting and paranormal investigations comes a chilling tale of possession...

The fifth book in this ghost-hunting series takes the team to Denver, Colorado where an active young family is being tormented by an evil, inhuman entity. When the Fontana family's teenage daughter begins chanting and levitating, Mrs. Fontana calls in the Paranormal Investigators League. But this case is different from their standard ghost hunts, and will test them in new and challenging ways.
Has the team finally met their match in the darkness that has overtaken the Fontana's teenage daughter?

This book is like a low budget film. It starts out telling the reader it is read by AI Generated reading. At first I thought, "ok cool!" However, less than 5 minutes into the book it sounds like a teacher reading Dick and Jane books to a class full of small children. I'm not sure if the book was supposed to be a young adult book or an Adult book but sometimes it's read like it's young adult book and sometimes it's read like it's an adult novel. The kids, Alaina and Ryder, speak like they are 10 and 8 but they are 14 and 16. Right from the begining the book starts out with inconsistencies and things are inserted into the story that seems like they were after thoughts or the author meant to mention it before but forgot. For example David says, "Marjorie, you're really scaring me. It sounded like you said Alaina lifted herself off the couch." David was trying really hard to make sense of the scene he walked into but it was proving to be very difficult.

then it says, "Dad! Alaina levitated. She was 4 ft in the air."" but it sounds like it says "Dad!", Alaina levitated (like Alaina Levitated is the person speaking.) Ryder pulled away from the phone trying to explain the unexplainable to his dad. Then David asks Alaina if she ate enough or drank enough before the bike ride. Marjorie says, "David! You're trying to make something unnatural seem natural. She didn't have low blood sugar". With the exception of asking about eating and drinking there is no other mention of low blood sugar.

It goes on for another minute like that and all of a sudden Marjorie is talking about calling a paranormal specialist. It does mention that Marjorie and the kids have experienced weird things but thar scene is the only experience the reader gets to experience.

Between the inconsistencies, poor dialogue and weird reading I can't continue this book. Hopefully it's in print at the library so I can borrow it and try to read it for myself to see if it's all just the reading or if the book is actually good.
