Emotional damage right from the beginning 😭

The first book was good, but the second book had me in an emotional chokehold from the first chapter. The main characters travel through depression and grief were written so well that felt true anguish for her. It found the essence of the inner turmoil created from trauma. The discussion about free will in relation to the bonds was also a highlight in this book.
