Quite good actually!
Listened to this from the hospital, and it definitely held my focus. The content goes beyond surface-level talk and actually delivers structured insight into manipulation, influence, and emotional defense. I appreciated how the author approached the subject without glamorizing unethical behavior—it’s more about awareness and resilience than tactics for control. Everything was clearly laid out.. gave me some serious food for thought. Overall, this was a valuable listen. If you’ve ever felt blindsided in conversations or relationships, this one will open your eyes.

Dark But Fun!
Wow, this was a fun and interesting audiobook! Just as I'd hoped it'd be! I have always been curious about and interested in dark psychology. I don't know that I'll ever really use this stuff, but it was a good listen nonetheless.

It’s easy to follow, especially for beginners, and the narration keeps you engaged throughout. darkside
I never knew they were such thing as dark psychology but I guess they're always a dark side to everything. A lot of things I learn on the street in my youth seem to be in this book and they are confirm in this book. I am glad I picked up some street smart but without real confirmation from an expert it hard to really know if what you learned from the street is a real thing or just your own opinion. I was on the street for a long time as a youth and I can also confirm this book is very legit.

Learned a lot without feeling icky
This listen really surprised me. It dives into some intense topics around manipulation and persuasion, but it’s not about being shady or using tricks to get your way. It’s more about being aware, staying sharp, and using these tools in a way that feels aligned with your values. I liked that it explains both how to spot when someone’s trying to control you, and how to influence situations with more confidence and clarity. It gave me language for things I’ve experienced but never fully understood. Great for anyone who wants to be more mentally and emotionally prepared.

Well-Written, But Left Me Somewhat Unsure
This book is clearly written and engaging, offering a digestible introduction to the concepts of influence and manipulation. As a psychologist, I found the structure and delivery effective, though some ideas felt a little oversimplified or generalized for the sake of accessibility. That said, it's a useful starting point for readers looking to become more aware of psychological tactics and how to navigate them with greater confidence.
