I highly recommend starting at the beginning of this series then going up to this book. they are all excellent

Awesome Series!

I love the science that Andrew Mayne weaves, so skillfully into his stories. All four books in this series were particularly well written and expertly narrated.

Thank you for an entertaining and educational trip down a dark lane that I had not explored before.

Hope There Are More

Well, I think that is the end of the series. Hopefully there are more Theo Cray books written. Like this one, they all stand for them selves and build a bit on the previous book. Excellent narrator. Sad it ended.

Another great book by Andrew Mayne!

I only wish these books were longer. Outstanding! Loved the epilogue. Looking forward to the next book!

Excellent performance by Will Damron!

Dr. Theo Cray finds himself on everyone's hit list. He's managed to ostracized from people he's counted on to the people he most cares about. In search of a killer who is murdering patients, Theo loses himself as his obsession takes over.
There are a number of twists and near misses, but nothing will deter him on his mission to catch this killer of the innocent. I found this book to stretch credibility, but I just rolled with it. I do enjoy this nutty professor and his exploits.
Again, I highly recommend the Audible companion performed by the very versatile Will Damron.

good listen but not his best

good on the front end but got too murky in the middle. I thought the ending was very anticlimactic and very obviously led into his next book.

Surprisingly compelling

When I started this series, it was because the premise sounded interesting and I like science stuff. And I like the analyses and thought processes. What I didn’t expect was how compelling this character Theo Cray would be nor how gripping the stories would unfold. Be warned that this has some hard stuff—possibly not for the faint of heart. If you’re looking for Lord Peter Wimsey, look elsewhere. But if you enjoy psychological thrillers, here is an excellent series.

Andrew Mayne weaves another fantastic and enthralling story about Theo Crane once again! Following the dark pattern Theo drags us down deeper then we've gone before as he chases a killer more vicious than those before, pushing not just himself but also us to the precipice of madness.

He did it again. Utterly excellent continuation.

Great continuation to the story and character. Well-researched science incorporated throughout the book, and realistic (considering). A fitting match for intellectually-inclined readers.

It had a satiating balance of suspense, build-up, and action. Other comments mention the ending being disappointing. I thought it was clever and a perfect segue to a future adventure.
