Strange and unsettling events start to occur across the city: shadows that move of their own accord, ancient symbols appearing on buildings, and people disappearing without a trace. At first, these incidents seem isolated, but Emma soon realizes they are part of a larger, more dangerous pattern. A mysterious group known as the Dawnbringers, who claim to be ancient enemies of the Shadow King, arrive in the city, offering their help. They possess knowledge and power unlike anything Emma has seen before, and their leader, a charismatic and enigmatic figure named Alaric, quickly gains the trust of many within Dark Paradise. But as Emma digs deeper into the Dawnbringers’ past, she discovers that their true intentions may not be as pure as they seem.

As tensions rise, Emma finds herself torn between the need to protect her city and the growing distrust she feels towards the Dawnbringers. She must navigate a web of secrets, lies, and half-truths while also facing her own doubts and fears about whether she is truly capable of leading the new generation of protectors. With the stakes higher than ever, Emma must rally her allies, old and new, to face this new threat.
