Les Liaisons dangereuses (Dangerous Liaisons) is a French epistolary novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos.

First published in four volumes by Durand Neveu from March 23, 1782, the book cause scandal on its release.

It depicts a decadent and corrupt aristocracy exposing the perversions of the so-called Ancien Regime. The relevance of this grew due to the ensuing the French Revolution.

Pierre Ambroise Francois Choderlos de Laclos (1741 - 1803) was a French novelist, official and army general.

Eternal book, exquisite performed.
The book is a masterpiece of subtlety, challenging readers to examine where their demarcation lines of morality exist, what inequalities of gender - based social imposition remain and more.
The recording raises the stakes even further. Listening makes our access to the letters exchanged profoundly intimate.
Magnificent.

Must hear, must read.

Read this book twice, and watched the movie - love it! This book is full of observations and reflections on human behavior and thought that is applicable across generations. The language is the paramount of sophistication and literary wit.

A must read- enjoy the language

I like this book very much, but the narrator did such a good job that I'm not even sure if it's the story o just hearing him that I like the most.

Awesome performance

Story is sexy and torrid; the narrator has a comfortable, if rather too genial reading style. My complaint is that there are lapses in the narration, due to this being a recording of a cassette tape or CD. Audible should fix the skips and breaks before putting out audiobooks advertised as "only from Audible"--no?

Faulty Recording--SKIPS & BREAKS

This audio book was remastered from cassette tapes and sounds really terrible. Shame on you Audible for publishing something like this. The narrator even says "please turn cassette tape" in the middle of one of the chapters. Pathetic!
