Hilarious and Clever Look at the English Language

A Truly Excellent Listen

“Damn English” by Gary Sherbell is a fantastic book. It is packed with incredible humor, clever, puns, and witty wordplay. The narrator is absolutely outstanding. Their professional voice was perfectly suited to the material making every joke and linguistic twist land with impeccable comedic timing.

Great entertaining book!

This is a great book if you're looking for a little bit of comedy and sarcasm to entertain you while the author analyzes the english language. The author gives a funny twist on figures of speech and phrases and does a really good job at it. Plus the narrator shows a lot of expression and character getting out the message if you go with the audio version. Definitely check this out If you want to switch up the typical novel reading for a nice comedic and fun read or listen!

Clever, hilarious, and certainly holds true

I really enjoyed listening to this narration! The story was very clever and the emphasis and tone from this narrater really brought the story to life. With excellent comic deliverance and wit, it was a pleasure to listen. I would certainly recommend this audiobook due to its lightheartedness and very true depiction of the confusing english language.

The goofiest educational book ever

this was possibly the funniest book I have ever read that has also educated me at the same time. the voice that was reading the book itself was very good and the way he acted out specific parts made me laugh almost EVERY section.

Funny spin on the English!

This book is written with the perfect touch of humor. WHY is the English language so damn confusing!
The author puts a funny spin in things. I admire his sense of humor!
The narrator is great and made me giggle several times.

This is a fun audiobook to listen to. It will make you laugh. Highly recommend!

perfectly executed

This book makes an individual think about the English language. For example; if a person called a friend and said "hey I need some help getting some hay". Would it occur to either of them that there are two different ways to spell the same word during the conversation? The book is written with excellent humor throughout which makes it tremendously interesting and enjoyable.
The narrator anounciated every word flawlessly and his voice inflection for every sentence was perfect.
I will definitely be recommending this book to all of my friends and co-workers because the author and narrator are a winning combination.
