A brand new Western adventure from Paul L. Thompson and Malcolm Hotzman!

Dalton Brisco rides into town and sees the sheriff of San Angelo, Texas, gunned down. After he kills the two men involved in killing the sheriff, Brisco finds himself in the unusual position of being a gunfighter wearing the sheriff’s tin star. Out-gunned and out-manned, Brisco has to devise a plan to keep the town from being taken over by a crew of gunmen, cattle rustlers, and horse thieves.

I received this title from the publisher via a promotional code in exchange for an honest review.

Paul L. Thompson and Malcolm Hotzman, separately, are bestsellers in the Western genre, and this team-up is a real treat. The titular character, Dalton Brisco, is as fine a Western creation as I've ever had the pleasure to 'get to know' so to speak. Full of the requisite action one expects from a good tale of the old West, with the added bonus of whip-crack dialogue, puts this one as a frontrunner in my Audible library in the Western category.

Henry Marshall's narration was every bit as good as I had hoped it would be, based on the sample you get here on Audible and on the Amazon page. His attention to character detail and nuance is superb and I look forward to listening to more titles narrated by him, hopefully of this series in particular.

Five out of five stars all the way across the board for this one.
