D.I.Y.

Douglas Ivan York, a building contractor, buys an 1880s Victorian house in a Sheriff’s sale near Washington, D.C. As he inspects this post-Civil War beauty, he analyzes the amount of work required to renovate the house. The previous owner’s relatives feel they should have inherited the old home, and they break in at night, convinced that the original builder hid valuables in the walls. Using state-of-the-art devices to examine inside the walls, he finds clues suggesting that it might truly contain hidden treasures.
A local photographer helps him uncover some of the house’s history, and a budding romance begins. To complicate matters, Doug’s ex-wife shows up looking to cash in on his discovery and fight for custody of their daughter. As Doug gets close to solving the mystery, a new enemy rises from the unknown and puts everyone Douglas cares about in danger.
