Every person who has walked this old Earth does so through gauntlets, games and glories. We often come out the other end of life with dents in every piece of our armor. Imagine a worn and tired Knight returning from battle and sitting at his home table for a meal. He sits and stares at his dented helmet and lightly touches a bruise on his cheek. His dear wife sees the dents in his breastplate and breaks in his chainmail. She serves him his bowl of stew and a cup of wine. He sees her tears as he tells her, "We are dented, my love. We have won the battles and we are beautifully dented."
House painter Clifford Dalton and factory worker Bonnie Baker in a way relive that very ancient moment in their own lives. This little book is their story. In a world somewhere in this beautiful universe, the Cliffords and Bonnies walk through the gauntlets and grin at the dents.
