Every time Kevin Spencer sees Tina Zabinski, the Most Beautiful Girl in the World, he’s in danger of tripping, falling, and making a fool of himself. He can hardly say a word to her. But Kev knows he’d be the perfect boyfriend for Tina. He’s not bragging. Just pointing out the obvious.
Kev decides to take a scientific approach to getting a date with Tina. After all, love is based on chemistry. When new kid Cash Devine zeroes in on Tina, Kevin hustles to find the formula that will make her forget all about Cash.
In Gary Paulsen’s companion to Liar, Liar and Flat Broke, Kevin’s experiments in true love are truly hilarious.

This particular book had us all laughing, and left us in a great mood.
I hope there will be more books like this added to the series.

Would you listen to Crush again? Why?
Yes, of course! There are so many clever lines in this book that you must listen to it again to catch all the cute wittiness. I laughed out loud during the Interview with Auntie Buzz and her 3.5 Marriages…she is every woman who has had disastrous relationships.Which scene was your favorite?
Hard to pick just one, but probably when Kevin preps The Romantic Dinner for his parents out of Food Tubes and the ensuing chaos. Joshua Swanson should get a Tony for all his hilarious voices.Any additional comments?
This series of books reminds me of The Bugs Bunny cartoons where adult satire is embedded all over. The books are great for teenagers, especially to upgrade their vocabulary. But they are equally funny for adults who already have lived through all that Kevin plans for his Amazing Romantic Future with his girlfriend--the one he hasn't had a chance to make his girlfriend...yet!Girls are Scary!
