Acerca de esta escucha
From the author of the critically acclaimed Time Box series comes the dramatic conclusion of a story that spans a century.
Two years after stealing portable time machines, the Lanes, a family from the present day, stop running and start living. They settle in the seaside town of Coronado, California, in 1963.
For Jordan, Laura, and Jeremy, the oldest children, the respite is a chance to nurture relationships, start families, and explore the country. It is an opportunity to put down roots.
For Ashley, the youngest, it is a chance to thrive. Now fourteen, she is ready to start high school, make friends, and make up for lost time. She finds popularity and more after a classmate nominates her for freshman homecoming princess.
Robert Devereaux could not care less. The deranged billionaire wants his time machines back and is willing to do anything to get them. He sends a hit man to the past, setting into motion a final confrontation between a hunter and his prey.
In CROWN CITY, the suspenseful finale of the Time Box saga, a defiant family finds romance, friendship, and danger as it navigates the final months of the Kennedy presidency.

Enjoyable read
John A. Heldt did it again and did it well. I appreciate the slight difference of pace than in some of his other stories. I enjoy all his books including this one.

John Heldt tells another brilliant story.
What a magnificent story in Crown City by John Heldt. I am a definite fan of this author! Whatever this author writes, I read. This author brings the story to life. I did read the print version of the story, and enjoyed it, but I also really enjoyed this audiobook. This is the conclusion of the Time Box series, which was all about time travelling, hiding, and drama. The Lane family travels back in time, and sometimes, finds an era to stay in. This book spans a century, of drama, secrets, survival, and trying to figure out how to live, what time to live in, and to finally stop hiding. There is a need to settle down, somewhere where they would fit in. The Lane children, are growing, and want to live a normal life or explore more. The characters had a lot of depth and were very realistic. This author has a great imagination and I'm glad it's being shared with stories. The story brings in the believable, even if almost impossible. It’s one of those embraceable stories. It’s definitely something you want to keep listening to all the way to the end! It is always an honor to listen to this author's books. Both thrilling and intriguing, all the way to the end. This book deserves both a read and a listen! Crown City on audiobook is a definite listening recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to listening to many more titles by this author.
