Critical thinking is regularly cited as an essential 21st century skill, the key to success in school and work. Given our propensity to believe fake news, draw incorrect conclusions, and make decisions based on emotion rather than reason, it might even be said that critical thinking is vital to the survival of a democratic society. But what, exactly, is critical thinking? Haber describes the term's origins in such disciplines as philosophy, psychology, and science.

Examples of when CT is used
I know CT is important and that in so many ways it is lacking in a lot of people or situations. This broadened my perception on all the times we use it and how it impacts almost every facet of life! The practicality is great!!!

A Reference for Problems, Decisions, and Thinking
Full disclosure: This is my son's book, and I hope it becomes a tool for all who read it. The following is my honest opinion of the book.
I have read or listened to hundreds of books, but I only have three books I refer to regulary: “Thinking Fast and Slow,” “The 4 Disciplines of Execution,” and “Possible.” I will be adding this book, “Critical Thinking: A Comprehensive Beginner’s Guide to Rational Analysis & Creative Problem Solving,” by Kevin Brown. This book covers critical thinking so completely and directly that it will be my first reference and a checklist for thinking through problems and decisions.
When it comes to the details of critical thinking, I have always had to consult resources couched in laborious theory and research descriptions in order to formulate an effective solution. Having a reference like this book at my right hand is a great way to cut through all that. It will remind me of the critical considerations necessary and appropriate for proper analysis and decision-making.
In Chapter 1, the author itemizes the elements of critical thinking knowledge and meticulously describes each element simply and directly. He then applies these elements, with examples, to problem-solving in Chapter 2 and to making decisions in Chapter 3. In Chapter 4, he reminds us to constantly be aware of all the details, especially our audiences and their concerns, when communicating with others.
Whether this is your first book on thinking or, like me, your umpteenth, you will either discover or be reminded, in an organized and detailed way, how to set your mind on a course of living a thoughtful business and personal life.

Empowering Everyday Decisions
I recently listened to this audiobook, and it was an enlightening experience. The narrator's clear and engaging voice made the complex topic of critical thinking easy to understand. I found myself reflecting on how I make decisions and realizing the importance of evaluating information critically.
The book provides practical examples and real-life case studies, which made the concepts come alive for me. I appreciated how it explained the basics of critical thinking and its difference from other types of thinking. Learning about common biases and fallacies was particularly eye-opening; it made me more aware of how these can affect my decisions.
This audiobook is a great resource for anyone wanting to improve their decision-making skills. It shows that critical thinking isn't just for academics or professionals—it's a useful skill for everyone. Whether you're making big life choices or simply browsing the internet, this guide helps you approach problems logically and confidently. I highly recommend it!

Resourceful, Game-Changer
This audiobook breaks down fundamental concepts of critical thinking and how to apply these concepts to your everyday life. This book is easy to read and relatable because it uses real-world examples of how and when to apply critical thinking to your life. The author provides thought-provoking critical thinking questions to answer when you need to make major decisions. The answers to these questions lead you to make better choices. This book is packed full of valuable tips on how to introduce these concepts into your life. This is a book you’ll read more than once so you can incorporate more and more of these valuable concepts into your life. I highly recommend it!

Excellent Critical Thinking guide book!
Critical Thinking by Kevin Brown is a valuable resource for those seeking to improve their personal development. This audiobook is very well-structured and easy to listen to. What I like about this book is that it's straight to the point and has a very well-thought-out approach. It starts with decoding the fundamental components of critical thinking and comparing it with creative thinking. The book continues by elaborating on the essential role of Critical thinking with real-life examples and how critical thinking can be applied effectively in daily problem-solving skills, making better decisions, and enhancing communication skills. This book is a must-have. The quality of this audiobook is great, yet it just needs a minor improvement on ground floor static; it would be perfect!
