After spending her entire life so far outside the Spires, Step’s daughter, Raven, is finally given an opportunity to return to the place of her birth. However, the territory that she enters is hardly recognizable when compared to the stories that she grew up hearing. The world has changed, and strange occurrences are now commonplace.
