Callie was the first victim of the creature’s attacks, or so she thought. Now she is determined to find out more about the thing that killed her parents in front of her. Her Aunt takes her in to keep her safe, but Callie dives into the origins of this mysterious creature, whom she describes as a creature with no discernible shape and the blackest black you can imagine. However, others describe it completely differently. Why?

Although no one believes her far-fetched theories about this creature, she secretly does more research, coming face to face with the nightmarish black abyss multiple times. Most consider her insane, and she's placed in a psychiatric facility for a while. She’s soon joined in the hunt by a high school journalist named Taylor.

Callie’s hometown is hit hard by the creature’s attacks, which have become more frequent. In fact, the military has evacuated the town to protect its residents as well. Sneaking into town, the girls discover more and more deaths at the hands of the creature or creatures that have been covered up.

The two believe their theory about the creatures can be proven. But can Callie convince the authorities before the creature kills everyone in town?

This story is what I fear the most in life. See what you think of the Creature, and if you would be a Callie, or a Maggie.
My only upset is the AI reader. It messed up the flow at times with the wrong words or emphasis.

Wish it was longer!

The book is great I just wish it was longer. The AI author isn’t bad but a little slow I had to speed it up to almost x2.5 hopefully they soon add more options. Thus allowing more authors to get their books on Audible.

Very original , fast paced it’ll keep you listening and waiting for the author’s next release.

I loved the characters they were real . The story had a natural cadence that moved the story forward. I am waiting to read more from the author.
