Craven Kane Investigates
Series Introduction
My name is Craven Kane.
I investigate strange things.
Not crimes.
Not ghosts.
Not paranormal… well, sometimes maybe.
I investigate Minecraft worlds.
When something unexplainable happens, they contact me.
Doors opening or closing by themselves.
Torches broken or missing.
Shadowy figures in the distance.
Mines that disappear.
I log into the player's world.
I interview witnesses.
I conduct overnight investigations.
I take notes.
Most of the time, there is an explanation.
A game mechanic that was overlooked.
A feature that behaves differently than expected.
A corrupted seed.
But sometimes… there is no explanation.
Sometimes things are just that, unexplainable.
Each book in this series is an investigation.
Some cases are solved.
Some are partially solved.
Some remain unanswered.
If something unexplainable has happened in your world, you are not alone.
Most likely, it is nothing.
Most likely.
Then there are occurrences like the one we will investigate now.
This is Case File #2.
The White Room.
Craven Kane Investigates: Case File #2
The White Room
A single block in a Minecraft cave causes a player to lose control of his character.
The world does not freeze.
The game does not crash.
Only the player stops moving.
At first, it seems like a glitch. A rare error. An inconvenience that can be avoided.
But the behavior is precise. Repeatable. Escalating.
When the player contacts Craven Kane, the evidence points to something far more unsettling than ordinary corruption. A block that immobilizes without warning. Items that refuse to despawn. A black screen that removes perception while the world continues unseen.
And then something worse.
When Kane enters the world himself, the anomaly changes. Control is removed. A second version of the same player appears. Two identical characters exist at once, moving independently, occupying different spaces, reacting to the world in ways that should not be possible.
What follows is a documented investigation into a phenomenon that resists explanation. No mods. No commands. No intentional manipulation. Only observation, testing, and recorded experience.
As the case progresses, the anomaly reveals new behavior. Duplication. Displacement. A white space beyond the world itself. Yellow letters embedded in an impossible floor, forming a message that cannot be read from where it appears.
The world eventually stabilizes.
The block becomes inert.
But unanswered questions remain.
Case File #2: The White Room is a firsthand investigation into one of the strangest recorded anomalies in a Minecraft world. Written as a factual case report, it avoids sensational conclusions and focuses instead on what was observed, what was recorded, and what could not be explained.
Some mysteries resolve themselves.
Others simply stop.
Status: Unresolved
