Resumen del Editor

Conversations with God is Neale Donald Walsch's account of his direct conversations with God that began while Walsch was immersed in a period of deep depression. He composed a letter to God in which he vented his frustrations, and to his surprise, even shock, God answered him. Book 1 illustrates how to make our relationship with God more personal. Book 2 discusses both the personal and global challenges many of us face, exploring such topics as how listeners can shape their futures, help build a new society, and play a role in creating a loving consciousness on a global scale.

My takeaway

God’s voice changing between men and women was brilliant. I enojoyed the book very much. Some parts I had to rewind couple times to grasp on the idea. It is not for die-hard christians. But for those people who cannot correspond with abrahamic religion and institutional authority this book is great.

Life changing and fearless

There were numerous ideas I felt in my spirit were true, but I couldn't quite reconcile them with one another until I listened to this audio book. For instance, I struggled to understand how a God that I believed loved its creations unconditionally could reward one person who earnestly sought God and chose the "true" religion and damn to hell another who also earnestly sought God but mistakenly chose the "wrong" religion. The outlook of God espoused in this book rang true to me and brought a great deal of relief and enlightenment.

Just as is required of any strength training, for significant growth, you must push past the point of your comfort. By the end of this book, I was markedly stronger. My only constructive criticism is that while I love the idea of having a female and male voice of God, I felt the places of transition were often distracting, and I would have preferred both voices being soothing versus jumping between calm and urgent. Also felt the interviews with other authors throughout somewhat pulled me out of the moment but didn't add much. Still, more than worth the time investment. Highly recommend this book.

Seriously?

I stopped listening after hearing that the Holocaust was God’s will ….
Narration is exaggerated, and the story is too “out there” to be credible.
I do not recommend this book.
