When newly-single party girl Vicki moves to Paris, she hopes to indulge in wine, stuff her face with croissants, and fall in love. It proves to be much more difficile than she imagined. In this laugh-out-loud memoir, this cheeky storyteller recounts the highs and lows of her life in the City of Light. Sassy and shamelessly honest, Vicki makes you feel as if you're right there in Paris stumbling along the cobblestones with her.
Will she find love? Will she learn to consume reasonable amounts of alcohol? Will French bureaucracy ever cut her a break?
Confessions of a Paris Party Girl is a delicious cocktail of the humor of Tina Fey, the candor of Amy Poehler, and the self-deprecating charm of Mindy Kaling. You'll feel as if you're chatting over a bottle of wine with your new best friend, one who drinks as much as Chelsea Handler and makes you laugh as much as Sophie Kinsella.

Would you listen to Confessions of a Paris Party Girl again? Why?
Don't get me wrong, I actually love cliche's. But this one was soooo dull. It was more like her internal thoughts about day to day stuff in Paris... including huge sections about paperwork. I'm not kidding. She complains about paperwork for half of the book. Also, the "party girl" proclamation is a little misleading. I mean she drinks a lot, but the craziest result of it was that she once woke up on her bathroom floor. Oh and she threw up out of a taxi. Other than that, idk the partying isn't that exciting. Even the romances were dull! Sorry, I hate writing bad reviews, but this was just a big no for me. Overall I'd say this is almost like a casual guide or "what to be prepared for" type of book for someone who is planning on moving to Paris.Has Confessions of a Paris Party Girl turned you off from other books in this genre?
noHave you listened to any of Em Eldridge’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
noWas there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When her boyfriend proposed. Probably the only KIND OF exciting part. (...it wasn't a surprise at all. She tells us it's happening all the way leading up to it. The entire relationship is linear and predictable.)Any additional comments?
In summary: no substance to this bookBoring cliche of an American girl in Paris
