It was just what I needed

I have ready this bin before but never truly understood it until now. It made me realize so much that f wha ti am stressed about isn’t at all what makes me, well me. I am inspired and and in awe of you Wynonna!

At first, I had trouble getting interested in this book because it seemed like a “poor pitiful me” story of blaming mom for everything that wasn’t perfect in life… I stuck with it though & the last chapter seemed to tie things together and show how much the writer grew once she committed to doing the work that was needed and moving past the victim mentality. We all have room for growth!

Great read for the fans but an equally meaningful read if you need life guidance. Learn through the stories, the heartbreaks, the recovery, the falls, the love & victories. Wy’s much more than a soulful & powerful singer (best on the planet), she’s a minister of sorts of being true to yourself while being open to changing yourself. The learning never stops & this book proves it.

Honest

Wynnona’s honesty and vulnerability was very apparent. So much of what she has been through is similar to what other families and people have been through. Somehow, it’s comforting to know that whether you are a superstar country singer or a shower singer - someone else has the same experience as you do. And you can find hope from their successes.
