This six-session language course introduces Colombian-accented Spanish specifically tailored for tourists new to Spanish. The curriculum assumes no previous background in Spanish and teaches essential phrases and vocabulary needed for travel. The focus is on words and phrases that you can easily put to use during your time in the beautiful central American country of Colombia.
The course teaches Colombian Spanish from scratch, which has a distinct dialect and certain unique words and phrases. Each session covers various practical scenarios that you may encounter on your travels. From ordering food in a restaurant, asking for directions, to handling transportation, shopping, accommodation, emergencies and many other topics.
All the course's learning modules are scenario-based helping you build up the vocabulary you can put to use as a tourist. The course has many review opportunities to build on material covered in prior sessions, making sure you develop your pronunciation and retain what you learn. This is a beginners course, teaching you Colombian-accented Spanish, which has some differences to other Spanish dialects. This course is not suitable for you if you already know Spanish well as it's for beginners.
By the end of the course, you will feel confident in your ability to communicate basic needs in Colombia.
