I thoroughly enjoyed the entire story. As usual, Elmer Kelton renders an authentic Western adventure that delivers excitement flavored with humor and clever dialog.

this is one of the best Kelton books that I've read. loved it all the way through

The twist and turns that the boy and his cousin took and how it ended up at the end of the book.

The book was a very simple book but you could not figure out exactly how the book was going to end as you can and so many other books. This was a book of love intrigue family tragedy death and growth of the human body and soul.
