Succinct and necessary summary

Great start for everyone to get aquatinted with church history! I loved listening to this in just over one hour.

Easy to understand

Easy to understand and still engaging enough to not bore you. Definitely recommend as a first read on church history.

It was so interesting and cleared up many questions regarding the church through the centuries. I appreciated the focus on the gospel of Jesus Christ and the necessity of our lives being challenged and changed for His glory.

Good history

I enjoyed listening to this short production of flying through the centuries. It was good history, but perhaps a bit too many evangelical conclusions were reached. It definitely sends a message that will resonate with hard core believers.
It felt like a history lesson sponsored by the church. That said, I love the brief format.It would be good for church groups who get little to no Church History training. As my dad always told me, eat the meat and spit out the bones.

Wonderful explanation of church history! I enjoyed listening to it and learned so much dispelling a lot of ambiguities of how Christian church came to be. Superb audible production!

Great short overview

I started becoming interested in church history and wanted to get some base level history lesson. This one is great! There are more thorough books but as a starting point this is a great listen

Knowledge of the Church's History: Essential

A brief summary of 2,000 years is nearly impossible. Dr. Ferguson provides the best synopsis possible, in my opinion. In a day where, especially American, Christians are so detached from any knowledge of Christ's Faithfulness to His church, this book is an excellent place for leaders and laypeople alike to begin their understanding. The orator was fantastic. I couldn't stop listening. When the book had finished, I immediately played it again. I've studied this subject in depth, and even taught church history in my congregation. For those immersed in more exhaustive works on this subject, and for people looking for where to begin, this book is a must. Psalm 110.1. HE will have Dominion.
