Resumen del Editor

When Boss Fight Books first gave fans the chance to vote for the game they most wanted a book about, they chose the epic time travel RPG Chrono Trigger.

Featuring new interviews with translator Ted Woolsey and DS retranslator Tom Slattery, Michael P. Williams's book delves deep into connections between Crono's world and ours, including Chrono Trigger's take on institutions such as law and religion, how the game's heroes fit and defy genre conventions, and the maddening logical headaches inherent in any good time travel plot.

From the Magus dilemma to the courtroom scene, find out why many consider this game the high point in the entire role-playing genre in this in-depth examination of Chrono Trigger, a ton of fun and a true work of art.

Great recap of an amazing game

Short and sweet. As well as a fantastic trip through time. Other than a chapter in the middle that seemed awkward and out of place, it was a fantastic reading.

Well....at least it was fun

Little to no research went into this book aside from a very brief interview with the games translator. The author claims to know what parts of the story are most loved and nostalgic but I think the author is just projecting his own thoughts onto others. Mostly this book is all about - hey do you remember that part of CronoTrigger where you can't travel in groups greater than three? wasn't that crazy?--Hey, remember the caveman levels? That was something, huh? --Hey remember the faire? Really well done!" I think the only thing I learned from the book was that CronoTrigger was the most expensive game on the SNES. That said- I really am nostalgic for the game and it really is comforting to listen to someone else who loved the game talk about it. I would have preferred a researched non-fiction over a four hour game review but for what it is -it was entertaining. Just don't expect to learn anything

The greatest game of all time getting a poor book written about it

The author and his insistence on using personal feelings and experiences as facts for this game (and essentially franchise). For every 1 step that's good he takes 3 steps back that are bad. If you like hearing a gay American man living in Japan and putting current SJW political opinions into this game and Japan as a whole (a game from 1995, remember), then you'll likely be fine with it.

Nothing of value

The nonsensical ramblings of a fanboy. No value in this book. better off watching YouTube reviews of the game.
