The man is Norm, (No relation to the author), the owner and CEO of the RYO Corporation in Cowchip Alabama. He is without a doubt the most powerful man in the world. Enigmatic, virtually unknown, he pulls the strings of nations. Yet, he is unhappy and makes those around him unhappy as well. As luck would have it he discovers a world shaking copper deposit near his quaint and strange town of Cowchip. He hits upon a scheme to develop his find and in so doing manages to alienate not only his employees, but the whole town as well. How Norm recovers from this mess, with just a little help from an angel is the crux of the tale.
