A Girl's Story

Based on true events, this book gives the story of a young girl striving to cope with fear from abuse within the home. From a young age, this tells of a young girl's inadequacies of being born a girl and then the fear from her father's heavy hand. It is a harrowing and emotional story of how a family could appear as the perfect family unit to all around them, but on the inside was suppressed by fear and abuse. This read will undoubtedly make you feel compassion for the children in the story and disgust at how such abuse was allowed to happen and continue. It will hopefully give strength to others who have experienced or are experiencing such abuse, to acknowledge that this is not acceptable and no-one should live in fear.
