This book is based on the experiences of working for a charity called Eighteen And Under which has, for the past 30 years, been providing confidential support and information to young survivors of sexual abuse. The book is designed to inform and educate people about different kinds of abuse including sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation of young people, and the effects of abuse. It also discusses how to help young abuse survivors recover and how to prevent abuse. The book provides important information about current academic research which supports Eighteen And Under's model of working with young people and the need for more confidential services for young people.
