Acerca de esta escucha
Working cowgirl, Payton Hollis, has no time for hairdryers, heels and helplessness. She must save her home, Beargrass Hills Ranch. She also has no time for men. She already is boot-deep in blue-eyed cowboy trouble.
City-boy, Cordell Morgan, isn’t who he seems. His fancy suit and slow smile hide dark secrets. Secrets as to why his hands are callused, why he never stays around and why he has really come to Marietta, Montana.
Between a shrewd old rancher, a cantankerous rodeo horse and a stud bull called Trouble, Payton and Cordell have no chance to lead separate lives. No matter how much their futures may depend upon them doing so.

Low Spice, High Charm
Rating: 3/5 | Spice: 1/5
This was a super cute small-town cowboy romance with a sassy, strong-willed heroine and a blue-eyed mystery man in a fancy suit—what’s not to love?
Payton is the kind of FMC I root for—funny, fierce, independent, and completely uninterested in being rescued. Cordell Morgan, on the other hand, walks into her world looking like trouble in designer boots. Their banter is peak enemies-to-lovers, and the chemistry between them is genuinely enjoyable, especially in the early chapters.
That said, the story felt a little short for me. I kept wanting more meat and potatoes—more development, more emotional depth, more time for the characters to settle into the twists the plot throws their way. There’s a big reveal near the end that was alluded to earlier, and while it had a lot of emotional weight, I wish it had been introduced earlier so we could sit with it a bit longer.
Spice-wise, it’s pretty tame. I honestly can’t recall any standout steamy scenes, so I’m clocking it at a 1/5 on the spice scale. If you’re looking for sweet cowboy romance with low angst and high charm, this might be your jam. But if you like your stories with a bit more grit and slow-burn build-up, this one might feel a little rushed.
