Major Charlotte MacHen served ten years in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot in Special Operations. During her military service, she earned two purple hearts, a Bronze Star, and numerous other citations. After her medical retirement from the Army, she spent an additional ten years as a Black Ops pilot, working as a secret government contractor. She received two bullet wounds in a series of operations. Charlotte has just finished the last mission with her team and is retiring to the mountains of northern Georgia. She plans on a quiet life as a mother to her sixteen-year-old daughter, Rory, and as a professor at Mountain View University. But life doesn’t always go as planned. When a Central American drug cartel moves into Webb County, Georgia, Charlotte’s special skills are desperately needed. Charlotte takes on another mission where she battles the cartel, experiences love and loss, all while she is struggling with PTSD. Follow this mentally and physically tough woman as she strings her life together one piece at a time.
