A lengthy entertainment.

I did enjoy this long romance story very much. It did have time to develop; to introduce background characters; to feel the Christmas vibe. A time or two, the story felt as standing in place and Harper being too much in the past.
Altogether a great romance.

Second Chance to Love!

Chase and Harper's second chance to love is funny, sweet, and heartwarming. The supporting characters are great. This is a full length novel, filled with a little angst, ups and downs, and twists and turns. Joanna Roddy did a great job with the narration. Fabulous Story & Narration🎧 Riveting & Heartfelt!

This is a fabulous second chance romance novel, the story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it for the entire book. Ali Parker is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, the story she created is interesting and original and the characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to like and fall for too. Chase and Harper were high school sweethearts, they had plans for the future, but all that changed when Chase decided he wanted to go a different route with his future. They had not seen each other in ten years, but when Chase was scoping out Christmas decor at the local department store, he sees her, he had not known she stayed in the area. He is taking over the family business and is getting a new resort ready for a grand opening. He has always known Harper was the one that got away and now that he knows where she is and what she does, he plans to get her back in her life and recruits his sister’s help who had remained friends with Harper over the years. Harper is great at what she does, she turned her store into a magical holiday wonderland, but not seeing eye to eye with her boss over hiring Santa’s, she finds herself out of a job. But when her old friend reaches out to her, she lands another job, and she gets to take her friend and coworker, Parker, with her. The job is a great opportunity for her and will look great on her resume, the only downfall was she would work for her ex, Chase. The two do work well together and the chemistry between them never sizzled out and they can only deny each other for so long. A lot goes on in this book, besides Chase and Harper’s romance, there are storylines for the secondary characters, a romance between Chase’s twin sister Chloe and his best friend and another for Chase’s assistant and Parker, Harper’s assistant/coworker. Most of the drama is between Chase and Harper and there is not a shortage of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, and some hot loving. Ali Parker, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Joanna Roddy is a talented narrator and a versatile voice artist. She was great at bringing the characters, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality. She had a complete understanding of each character she portrayed and took the roles and made it her own. You could hear how much heart she put into her work as she captured the characters’ emotions and projected them into her performance. She set the perfect tone for the story and handled the back-and-forth dialogue with ease, never missing a beat. Joanna Roddy is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen!

Adorable!

This was the cutest romance I've read in quite a while. A fresh take on things. I really enjoyed this book and was a little sad when it was over.
