Catch a Cowboy is the second book I have read by Rachelle Paige Campbell. This cute small-town western romance was the perfect book with Hallmark western vibes.

I had the privilege of listening to the audiobook narration. Lisa Lynn Sandlin did a fantastic job bringing this story to life. It was better than watching a movie.

The setting was perfect. I loved returning to this small Montana ranching town with some history to it. The storyline was great and had a lot of fun elements: age gap romance, widower, teacher, PTA drama, cute niece, ranch fire, and more.

This Age- Gap, second chance at romance was kisses only, which was perfect and sweet.

I love Cowboys

🕮 Ted is the Kincaide Ranch’s lead cowboy. He’s survived a devastating loss over a decade ago, but now he may be ready to find love again. Especially after meeting the sunny and sweet Stephanie, who just happens to be his niece's kindergarten teacher.

Stephanie has had a crush on Ted for years, finding herself tongue-tied whenever he is around. Over the summer she worked as a yoga instructor at the Kincaide Ranch. Now she is back at teaching Kindergarten as is surprised to see Ted dropping off his niece.

This was a sweet little romance. I don’t always like when there is a significant age gap. But Ted and Stephanie have good chemistry and I enjoy watching their connection grow naturally. I have been enjoying small town stories lately and this was a wonderful cool breeze of a story. My definition of cozy. As I normally deal with high stakes fantasy.

🎙️Lisa is my favorite narrator (in case that hasn’t been obvious due to all my Lisa narrated audio reviews). She has a way of pitching her voice just right to keep listeners engaged. She did well pushing Stephanie's sunny and happy personality through her narration and also changed up just enough for Ted and the other characters in the book.

Cowboy Crush

I’m an admitted genre-hopper, but western romances aren’t usually my thing. However, now that I’ve read a book by Rachelle Campbell that may change! To Catch a Cowboy was such a fun read. As a teacher who has dealt with power plays in the school system myself, I totally empathized with the main character Stephanie. I love how she remained a person of integrity despite everything that was thrown at her — such a strong, inspiring character! And Ted — the older, mature, silent cowboy with a past — what a heart throb. You can’t help but fall in love with Ted! This was a great story & narrator Lisa Lynn Sandlin knocked it out of the park once again with her vivid characterizations & raw emotion. I highly recommend To Catch a Cowboy!
