Acerca de esta escucha
Content in Carmel Notes was originally prepared for retreats, days of recollection, and other programs based on the Car- melite tradition. This work offers an accessible introduction to Carmelite spirituality. Carmel Notes presents Carmel’s understanding of the human heart and its infinite desires. It proceeds to introduce three Carmelite Doctors of the Church and indentifies fundamental themes in their spiritual teach- ings. Other major figures in the Carmelite tradition are then highlighted. Notes concludes with an introduction to the Rule of Carmel.
The Carmelite tradition encourages a listening heart, a contemplative attention to God’s merciful presence. This book provides the reader with resources for an interior, spiritual life.
