Have you ever set out to do a good thing only to have it foiled? Like when I agreed to bake a cake for a fundraiser benefitting the local animal rescue, and the organizer ended up face first in my cake. Dead. As a doornail.

There are two things Allie loves: baking and contributing to fundraisers, but she never expected volunteering would lead to murder. Her husband Alec, the local police detective, is formally working on the case, while Allie and her bestie, Lucy, are doing some informal detective work of their own. Will they catch the killer before they strike again?
