Good Series

I have enjoyed the series. Easy listen and entertaining. My only "complaint" is how the voices of some characters changed throughout the series. For example in books 6 and 7 the tones of Ninette and Ionia changed so their characters seemed off and like another person from which we have come to know.

Really enjoyed how much the author clearly appreciates the unique culture of Louisiana

The narrator could have done better with pronunciation of several Cajun names but really enjoyed these stories!

It sounds like this is the last book in this series. I have enjoyed it and the ending was perfect.

I picked up the first book for free on audible and was immediately hooked. It's a really fun listen with a likable cast of characters. I enjoyed the first book so much that I got all the books in the series right away.
The performance was wonderful, even with a change in narrator. Although there were clearly 2 distinct styles in performance, the flow between the 2 worked, not detracting from the story at all.
Each book offered a new mystery while slowly transforming the relationships of the main characters. The author addressed current topics with a subtle eloquence that immediately focused on the "wrongness" of the belief and then through the main character she made clear that the situation needed to be corrected. I don't want to give anything away so I am a little vague here.
Basically, I really enjoyed the series, I love the Louisiana location and I can't recommend it enough.

Wonderful series

I love this series and the recipes I felt transported to Louisiana from the the accents, expressions and Cajun/creole dialogues to the traditions shared with us readers. The narrator was excellent and the stories endearing
I will miss the Crozat family and their guests as this series came to a lovely end

Great series

Love the atmosphere of place. Nice character follow thru in the series. Nicely wrapped up with the final epilogue
