This book on Church evangelism presents a descriptive, prescriptive and instructive teaching about God’s purpose for the Church. The Great commission given to the church to go into all the world is explained with the Great Commandment that admonishes the children of God to love their neighbors as much as they love themselves by reaching out to them with the Gospel of Christ. The check-up is then confirmed by the lab results that describe the pathology that works against the church and finally a growth prescription is given to fight the disease: “ People today need to see the gospel first…and evangelism will follow ( Lewis, 198).”[1]
This book challenges everyone to stay focused on the blessed adventure of church growth and evangelism .Rick Warren says on the subject: “ Since the church is a living organism, it is natural for it to grow if it is healthy. The church is a body not a business. It is an organism, not an organization. If a church is not growing, it is dying” (Warren, 27) [2]. This book intends to be the pharmacology of evangelism, a church growth diagnosis and a healing center. Anyone in church ministry who is exposed to the message and principles given to grow the church of Jesus Christ, will leave with a passion and motivation to put them into practice.
