Very satisfying book.

The plot was interesting and well delivered. I reaffirmed that P O Dixon can always be depended on for a good read.

The venue was mostly at Pemberly, and somehow almost all the characters were there sooner or later. We were spared Mrs Bennet and Lydia for the most part, and I am grateful for that.

Part 2 Please !

Attention P.O. Dixon Surely There is A Sequel ! Hint ? Perhaps Auntie C. and Wicky or A Unknown Characters Are Up To More Mischief ! Love All of Your Continued Goodies Keep Them Comming. !!!!!

Dixon is a go to for some sweet story line Pride and Prejudice variation, The characters are a little sugar coated but enough angst peppered in to keep you riding that candy high. I always get a laugh from the Fitz and Fitz camaraderie,

I really enjoyed the different take on Pride and Prejudice.All the good and not so good characters are there. Well worth the listening too or reading.

I got a little shock!

I read this book as I listened along with the audiobook, a pleasant experience. I always enjoy Pearl Hewitt, who always provides a well executed performance.

Darcy’s father lives, but his health is failing; something Darcy has learned but has kept from his father and everyone else too. Mr. Darcy senior and Mr. Bennet are old friends. In their youth, they agreed that they would arrange for their oldest son and daughter to wed. Easier said than done, however, as Darcy has no plans to marry anyone even though he has arranged a visit for Mr. Bennet and his two eldest daughters to visit Pemberley before his father dies. Also, there are many who want to thwart the elders’ plans, including Lady Catherine, Miss Bingley, Wickham, and even Jane and Mr. Bingley. The latter two providing me with quite a surprise.

Darcy receives a shock himself when he sees Elizabeth for the first time. He is quite taken with her, and she him, but she would do nothing to harm the happiness of a most beloved sister. Just as it seems love is to be declared, a sinister plot takes hold and separates them.

Very nicely done, and I am happy to recommend it.

This story seemed to rushed. I did however enjoy it as I drove from N.C to D.C.

Lovely story even though it is sad. The whole story revolves around the illness and subsequent death of Mr George Darcy.

Love At First Sight

I love Ms. Hewitt's ability to drawn you in when speaking Ms. Dixon's heartwarming, engaging dialogue! Mr. Bennet and Mr. Darcy are longtime friends who agree to unite their firstborn children to one another. Darcy was not going to be forced into a marriage that was not of his own choosing. Jane was prepared to do her duty and wed Darcy. What Darcy, Jane, Mr. Bennet and Mr. Darcy did not count on was Darcy being thunderstruck by Elizabeth the minute she stepped out of the coach. For Darcy, it was love at first sight. Lizzy was attracted to Darcy, but loyal to her sister. ODC's road to their HEA had many twists and turns. Ms. Hewitt's lively tone, and inflection kept the extremely well-written dialogue moving along. The usual cast of characters attempted to derail ODC from their HEA...but ultimately love prevailed. GREAT story!! I love this wonderful tale!!!
