Acerca de esta escucha

Civilization has finally reached the breaking point. After an EMP destroys the nation’s power grid, a family’s strength is tested.

An EMP means the end of the world as they know it for a family who fights to survive. When disaster strikes in the form of an EMP, Keith Jameson and Ted Holder flee to their remote homestead with their families.

The Coldest Night

During the coldest winter on record, an EMP sends America back into the Stone Age. Jack and his family find sanctuary in their cabin in a small, remote town, hidden deep in the forest. Little does Jack know the blizzard will be the least of his problems.

It amazes me how many of these post-apocalyptic fiction books use the ridiculous double whammy plot. They will often use something like and EMP or CME events, and then follow it up with massive terrorist acts.
If a terrorist group or country knows enough to get hold of and use an emp, then they are also knowledgeable enough to know that that would wipe out 80 to 90% of the population. Why would you expand vast resources and personnel to go after and attack people who most of which will be dead within a year anyway? Moronic!
There were many other ridiculous parts of the stories, it's hard to get invested into characters who seem to constantly do the most stupid option at every turn. for instance trying to escape a town four people riding on a sled, seriously?

I’m about 7 chapters in and I hope it’s just a story that starts slow. It was rated pretty high but had no actual reviews It is showing that I do not have the option to return or exchange this book, I hope the action starts soon, otherwise I will be out the hard earned money I spent to purchase this book and it’s audible version. I will update later if it gets better.

Hope it’s a Slow Starter
