Brink Fishing

The Beach Patrol, also known as the turtle watch, reported in at dawn. They found a corpse in the surf. Drew Phillips, an officer with the Florida Wildlife Commission, is called to investigate. Drew asks Dr. MacKenzie Haymer, his college buddy and head of the National Marine Fisheries office in Panama City, to assist. This isn't just any murder. Someone is killing dolphin.

The fishing industry in this Gulf coastal town has roots that lead to the very pioneers that settled the area. They don't abide meddling environmental concerns. Their temerity is genetic and their independence is renown. Their allegiance is to a professional association of fisherman who earn the right to speak through years dedicated to the profession and time at sea.

Drew and Mack are called to investigate the death of a dolphin but find that they are stuck in an existential battle for the gray area between catch-and-release, fish or don't fish, and between right and wrong. Climb aboard! The lines are taut and the gear is rigged, to solve this mystery we will have to be offshore and fishing the brink.
