I have to say, this is honestly the first book I’ve read or listened to that is told completely from the point of view of an animal. It was great! There was such a new idea on magic that was all over this book, it was awesome. I went through a lot of emotions with this story…anger, happiness, awe, sadness, curiousity, and love. Any book that can make me go through so many good and bad emotions is definitely a winner!! There is one single thing that I would change about this book though….I would make it much longer!! I am hoping to be able to get my hands on the second book as soon as it comes out so I can continue the story! Definitely pick up this book; you won’t regret it!

This is a sweet story about a magical guardian puppy....trained for a special witch...its a children's story, but suitable for all ages....I cant compare it...its special!

Have you listened to any of Kat Marlowe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not, but she did well....and I would listen to her again!!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Alexander unbinds then little one for her witch...so bitter sweet! <3

This is a super sweet story of a magical puppy and her training to become a guardian....she is a special and very strong puppy..and is saved for last to go to a special witch...I loved it!!! I would love to listen to the next one!!! and I recommend this for all ages!!!

The were a few parts that made me cry but mostly I loved it all!

This is a cute shorty written by Diana Marie Dubois. This is a quick short book that you can listen to while cleaning the house. This book is written from the point of view from a magical dog. The Great Dane puppies are destined to protect the witches and warlocks throughout time. This book is one puppy’s journey and she learns everything she can to protect her witch or warlock.

The narrator Kat Marlowe did a great job with this book, and was very easy to listen to. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to in one sitting and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.

If you are looking for a book with a cute story, and characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

What did you like best about this story?

the magical quality of the story. The fact that theses dogs are so special and as the na says Breed for Magic. That someday they will be a companions to witches and their guardians

Have you listened to any of Kat Marlowe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

SHE IS this dog. I have had the pleasure of listening many books by Kat Marlowe and in my opinion this is her best. She id the dog. WAHT A job !!!

when carl was dying you could hear the sadness.

This author and Kat Marlowe are the perfect match, I hope to hear she has done the other books

Kat did a great job in Breed by Magic. She was the voice of a dog and was great. Cant wait till book 2 comes out

Where does Bred by Magic rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I thoroughly enjoyed the audio of this book. I have listened to quite a few different stories and this was one of the top contenders. The narrator was perfect for this type of story, the soft quality of her voice and her performance matched the characters well and easily drew you into the storyline.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bred by Magic?

One of the most memorable moments for me was the way the house hold included the small guardian in the care of the Carl as he was dying. It was kind of a reminder that our fuzzy friends also feel pain and lose but can provide comfort to those who need them.

What does Kat Marlowe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The soft tones of Kat Marlowe's voice gave a child like quality to the small puppies and continued on giving a sort of wide eyed innocence to our small main character. When you read a story your mind will assign a voice to each character but the soothing quality of Kat Marlowe's voice made the small guardian come alive and become real.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes,I would and did listen to this in one sitting. I hate to have to stop when I am not finished as I feel anxious to find out what is going to happen next. The length of this book was the perfect amount to be able to compete in a short period of time and one sitting.

I enjoyed this story very much and I look forward to reading the next addition to see what is in store for our patient little guardian.

A cute story as told by Little One

Would you consider the audio edition of Bred by Magic to be better than the print version?

As I haven't read the print version of 'Bred by Magic' I'm unable to honestly answer this question.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how all this story was told by Little One, a female pup... it was cute to hear everything based on a pups POV.

What does Kat Marlowe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved hearing all the different accents that Kat applied to the characters when narrating this story, when reading I always find I can't quite get them correct in my head.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I'm never good at these.... Being Bred to Protect???

I enjoyed the story line of this audio book, it has left me wondering about the rest of the story, that 'Bred by Magic' is based from.

Diana's writing is great. Her story draws you in.
Kat manages to bring these characters to life with her voice. You can hear the characters grow as the story advances.
