I’m a city girl with a sharp tongue and no intention of falling for a man who thinks ‘room with a view’ means an old barn and a rusty tractor.

I like noise, coffee with oat milk, and boots that were not made for cow poop.

He likes silence, black coffee, and thinks feelings are best left bottled up next to the bourbon.


We clash constantly. We were not meant to fit.

Or the way he touches me like I might break, or burn him, or both.
