Overly descriptive

About 90% of this book is just describing the area/people. The concept was good , but the storyline itself was all over the place and repetitive. The most annoying one was the pregnancy, both characters have been mentioning the Omega being pregnant since the first time they slept together but somehow the doctor saying it causes a whole lot of fuss? The Virtual Voice just made it a bit worse off because half the time I had no idea who was talking/thinking.

This book has an amazing concept but is poorly executed. It contradicts itself, has no sense of timeline and has some historical inaccuracies. It feels like reading a high school students writing project before it has been edited without any sort of research.

Automatically lost points on it being virtual voice.
The idea is cool but they don’t really lean into the speakeasy/roarin 20’s era stuff at all and the time lines for the characters/plot are all messed up. Also how can you already know you/your partner is pregnant and then somehow are surprised when the doctor tells you they’re pregnant? Jumps around too much for you to really start to care for the people/forming relationship and the pacing is all off.
