Great Halloween cozy mystery

Boston Scream Murder is the 4th fabulous book in Ginger Bolton’s Deputy Donut Mystery series. The wonderful characters are what make this cozy mystery so special. Emily Westhill is a widow and co-owns a donut shop with her father-in-law Tom, a retired police officer. The donut shop and Emily’s kitty are both named Deputy Donut with the kitty going by Dep. Emily is good friends with Brent who is a Police Detective, Samantha, Misty, Scott, and Hooligan. The 6 of them hang out a lot which is usually fun (unless some of them are working). Emily and Brent are just friends but hopefully it will progress soon. Cheryl, a customer at the shop is beginning to date again and they meet Rich and Steve, two of her dates. Emily is providing donuts at Rich’s birthday party and finds him dead. The culprit isn’t really a surprise but why isn’t revealed until near the end and kept the book interesting.
