This book took me on the adventure of a lifetime! For approximately three and one half hours I was transported across the country on a ride full of interesting characters and self discovery. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who’s ever fantasized about what it would be like to leave it all behind and chase a dream

Great raw story!

I love it when audiobooks are read by the author, as it makes it such a more rich experience. This story holds nothing back, giving an honest exciting recounting of Bok Choi’s experience biking across the country. All of life’s messiness is included. It is an inspiring story that I would recommend to everyone!

a truly wild ride

Immensely entertaining. Listening to Bok Choy narrate her journeys made me feel like I was sitting around a campfire with her drinking homemade wine as she regaled me with wild stories of her year of adventures. This is no dry reportage as Bok Choy does not hold back on sharing her opinions along with her experiences. I lived on the communes with Bok Choy and would caution the reader that her experience is her experience and not necessarily the experience of others. But it certainly makes for entertaining listening! Several hours well spent in good company.

Her wit and frank tone are a welcome reprieve from the false politeness of everyday life. This is also a brutally honest portrayal of life with bipolar disorder, with all the stigma and struggle it entails.
