Ernie Saylor, Editor of Aberrant Dreams Magazine, states of Blue Flickers that: "...I just read "Blue Flickers" and thoroughly enjoyed it! It reminded me of a story I read long ago that I could not think of for the longest and then I realized the reason. It wasn’t a single story but two it brought to mind. The first was published in 1939 in Weird Tales and it is entitled “The Drifting Snow” uunder Derleth’s pseudonym Stephen Grendon. The second is "Silent Snow, Secret Snow" by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Conrad Aiken which was brilliantly adapted by Serling for his Night Gallery series (this episode narrated by none other than the great Orson Welles himself)." And he added: "I know you are thinking what does all this snow have to do with Blue Flickers and your right, it is rather how well all three of these stories capture a mood and season of bewilderment, unreasoning compulsion, and mystery. Well done sir!" In Blue Flickers, aliens are amongst us. Or are they? No one seems to know for sure. All anyone is certain of is that some people have undergone a profound change, a strange transmutation into "Blue Flickers." They no longer behave as humans, but are more like statues, unchanging in behavior and appearance, and with incredible powers. But when Derek Ryan's girlfriend, Myra, becomes one of them, he is determined to seek answers. But where should he seek them? Does he really want to find them? A dark science fiction short story, and one with a powerful message. Antologías y Cuentos Cortos Ciencia Ficción Cuentos Cortos Género Ficción Visionaria y Metafísica Ficción
