Marc is a great storyteller!

The way Marc told his story pulled me in from the very beginning. I laughed and cried. Well, sobbed, really. I've listened to it many times. Marc is a great storyteller and I hope he keeps writing.

Good insider account

I’ve read or listen to many books about Scientology. This was one of the better audiobooks. As it’s told in his own voice. Of all the books I’ve listened to, this is the first one with a detailed account of life at INT Base.

The greatest love story!

This book was amazing! drama and action and so we'll written you feel like you are on this journey. I absolutely couldn't stop listening, and the top it off the best love story where love wins! this was top of the line. Well done!

Great book!

I have always been intrigued with scientology and after seeing him on the Aftermath I decided to give the book a listen. I got through it in a day and a half i guess that should tell you enough. Its so sad the abuses that this man had to go through! IF you are trying to get a second look or more clarity into his story, def check this book out! It gripped me from beginning to end

The Narration Was Just Fine!

As a listener of mostly nonfiction and memoirs/bios, I always prefer the book to be read by the author. They lived it so they have the emotion the writing needs. I found the narration just fine. Headley sounds like your buddy telling you what happened to him. Good book for anyone looking for a Scientology book or have knowledge of the Headley’s.

Unbelievable

The things I love about this book are just too numerous to list. But Marc Headley narrating his story really puts you right there with him. His story, as are so many other Scientology escapees, is fascinating and at times just unbelievable, yet also inspiring. I do hope Marc continues to write.

Epic

This is literally an epic tale of love overcoming incredible odds; of the Phoenix rising from the ashes. Does that sound exaggerated? Just listen to Marc tell his story. I can’t wait to read Claire Headley’s book. I hope it’s coming soon.

Brought me to tears of joy!

Marc tells his story with a truth, innocence and strength one might not expect from someone so removed from the world.

Through it all, his undying love for his wife Claire comes through. His life, choices & decisions revolve around her, and his dedication toward her.

He shares the sacrifices he makes for himself & others, even if it's against his best interests.

By the end, I was literally crying with joy for he & Claire....the love of his life.

As Marc reads this himself, you can feel the emotion & steadfastness in his voice, as sincere & true. His ability to be so vulnerable is unbelievable. He does a fantastic job at being objective, truthful, transparent and fair.

In my opinion, this is a must read! You won't regret or forget his words, and you'll be happy you read his work.

To Marc & Claire, I say Congratulations, and praise God that your love for each other brought you through this test of strength, determination & loyalty. May your lives be filled with blessings & prosperity infinitely. Thank you for sharing your lives.

Fascinating story on escaping the Cult of Scientology

This story kept me on the edge of my seat. At times it seems fantastical but I know from the experiences of those close to me that the family destroying cult of Scientology does all this and worse to it’s members. Awaiting Volume 2.
