Christine Gellar was supposed to get married last weekend. Instead, her fiancé canceled the wedding, leaving her to pick up the pieces. Heartbroken and confused, Christine pours her energy into helping her best friend renovate her late mom’s house, taking a break from her job as a financial consultant. Her girlfriends are a comfort, and to her surprise, so is Elijah—who should have been the best man at the wedding. Christine always considered Elijah a dear friend, but it seems his feelings for her run much deeper than that.

Jess Morgan came home for Christine’s wedding but ends up staying longer to help Christine during this difficult time. Her boyfriend back in Philly isn’t happy with her extended stay. But lately, Brad doesn’t seem to be happy with her at all. With her yoga studio temporarily closed, Jess needs time to regroup. Being on Bloombay reminds her of all the reasons she loved the island. And the handsome contractor renovating her house just keeps convincing her she’s meant to return home.

Madison Winthorpe has always wanted to travel, but after her dad’s heart attack years ago, she came back to Bloombay and stayed. She can’t seem to shake the longing for travel, but she loves her family too much to leave. Besides, Christine needs her now more than ever. And when her high school boyfriend returns to the island as a new hire at the architecture firm where she works, she has one more reason to stay.
