Acerca de esta escucha
After unwittingly inserting himself in the middle of a sting operation, Hunter Reeves finds himself sworn in as the newest agent of The Order, an international detective and crime-fighting organization - and under the supervision, of all things, a vampire named Kai. Hunter has precious little time to adjust to his new life, complicating by the fact he and Kai are quickly falling for one another.
But a series of fateful choices leads Kai to make a crucial decision that will affect their lives (and afterlives). Can Hunter cope with a rapidly changing world he finds himself pledged to protect?

"Reawakening is an engaging tale that thrives on the strength of its characters and the tension of its plot. McPherson's writing is immersive, with moments of humor and humanity that offset the darker themes. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy supernatural fiction with a strong emotional core—fans of urban fantasy, romance, and action-packed thrillers alike." -Thomas Anderson, Literary Titan

Great narrator, story could use some work
This wasn't a terrible story, the premise is a good one. It just feels like they took two shorter stories (maybe graphic novels?) and put them together to make a book. The pacing felt fast and a little forced at times, especially the romance part. I think if the two separate stories had been fleshed out to make two separate books, it wouldn't have felt that way. Again, I think the idea is really neat, I'm interested in the characters, I just can't get over the fact that it feels like two short stories instead of one book.
Also the narrator did great, but to be fair, I follow him on YouTube and patreon because I like his voice acting. But I also always appreciate a narrator who will do the separate voices for the various characters (like the guy who narrated the Ink & Sigil series).
All in all, I'm not sad I used a credit on this and I'd be willing to look at the next book in the series to see where this goes.
